As Progress is focused on new features in new releases, they must inevitably stop making updates to older versions. For example, the most recent release for Sitefinity 12 is 12.2.7200, released in November 2019. Naturally, there are a few things they needed to leave behind while moving forward to the new releases, so you won’t see updates to those older versions.

Integrated AI-Assisted Authoring
When utilizing Azure’s OpenAI Service, users now can take advantage of AI-assisted content authoring. A new context menu is available for the content editor widget that streamlines content generation, content summarization, and/or general content improvement. This feature is only available in Sitefinity 15.0.8229 or later.

The Core Renderer editing experience has been greatly improved with a cleaner interface, easier access to properties on widgets, and an intuitive layout feature.

New Document List Widget in .Net Core Renderer
A new .NET Core Document list widget is introduced that can be used to display a list or a table of links to documents, where each document or file can be downloaded.

A/B Testing for .Net Core Pages
The A/B Testing functionality that has been available for MVC pages has now been implemented for pages which have been created using the .Net Core Rendering Engine.

Sitefinity has a new connector for Workato called Integration Hub. This new connector makes it very easy to integrate Sitefinity with other products and services via the no-code/low-code capabilities provided by Workato.

Sitefinity’s essential Site Sync add-on module will now synchronize the revision history for content items and pages, as well as custom fields for static content types.

Security Enhancement for Site Sync
Site Sync can now be configured to authenticate using a secret shared key, instead of a dedicated service account with admin privileges. This is more secure and easier to document and maintain than the previous method of configuring Site Sync.
