To address this challenge, Visus, LLC developed a custom solution that streamlines image library maintenance across Sitefinity sites. The tool enables a complete download of all image libraries, preserving library associations by appending GUIDs to each file. This structure ensures that after postprocessing—such as resizing or compressing—the optimized images can return to their original locations without disrupting the site's structure or functionality.
Once optimized, a second custom utility automatically uploads the improved images, replacing the originals while maintaining file paths and references. This process minimizes manual intervention, accelerates site performance, and ensures consistent image quality across all environments.
